Youngsters who are going to make it BIG in the future (Part 2)

Welcome fellow readers to the second part of this exciting series where we look at budding youngsters who are going to rule the game in the near future, so without any further delay let’s begin –

  1. Ben White

Age: 23

Club: Brighton and Hove Albion FC

Nationality: England

Ben White is a Rolls-Royce defender with his command and physical dominance on the pitch, not only is his defensive ability good but what makes him stand out from other defenders is the pin-point passes and the runs he makes. While on loan at Leeds he would just whip a 30M metre pass with ease whilst dribbling past the opposition, he was a fan favourite at Elland Road and was instrumental in their promotion back to the top tier. While he is not as impressive as he was at Leeds at Brighton, it’s just a matter of time before he makes a big move and we all are eagerly waiting for that moment.

2. Dušan Vlahović

Age: 21

Club: ACF Fiorentina

Nationality: Serbia

Vlahović in his second full season for Fiorentina has more than impressed football fans, he’s become their talisman this season scoring 21 times and assisting 2 times in 34 starts. He has an impressive rate of producing goals with an average of 0.71 goals produced per 90, he has already caught the eyes of many clubs with reports emerging that Liverpool have a huge interest in him. It’s going to be interesting to watch him develop into a world class goal poacher in the future.

3. Sven Botman

Age: 21

Club: Lille OSC

Nationality: Netherlands

I started watching Lille this season to trace the development of Renato Sanches and Jonathan David in the interesting team setup of Galtier but ended up loving their Centre back – Sven Botman. The Holland player has played every game of their league campaign this season and formed a commendable partnership with José Fonte in the defence, at one point of time into the season he hadn’t misplaced a single pass in 8 games (that’s a ridiculous stat!!). Lille still have 2 games to go and sit 3 points clear on the top with PSG in second, if they win the league title this season a major credit would go to their solid centre back which would propel his already high chances to leave for a bigger club. Watch out for this absolute monster in the future.

4. Dani Olmo

Age: 23

Club: RB Leipzig

Nationality: Spain

When a youngster from Dinamo Zagreb arrived at RB Leipzig on January 25, 2020 not much was expected from him atleast for the foreseeable future but most of us were proven wrong. In his first full season for RB Leipzig Olmo has registered has 6 goals and 12 assists in 45 matches all while playing as a midfielder, he still has a few games to go in this season and he surely is going to increase that tally. His performances for RB Leipzig earned him a national call up for the FIFA world cup qualifiers, he’s developing at a rapid pace and we all are spectators to his development and eventual rise.

5. Harvey Elliot

Age: 18

Club: Blackburn (On loan from Liverpool)

Nationality: England

Harvey Elliot was sent to loan to Blackburn from Liverpool in hopes of racking up first team minutes, he was predicted to perform decently as he was just 18 years old but he certainly has silenced his critics and some Liverpool fans. With 7 goals and 11 assists in 41 apps this season in the championship he’s set the league on fire with his exquisite dribbles and amazing finishing, he was also nominated for Championship’s young player of the year of the award which was eventually won by Michael Olise. With his return to Liverpool this season it will be interesting to see how Klopp is going to leverage his abilities, even if he doesn’t make the cut for Liverpool’s first team there is no one stopping him to succeed in the future.

The list ends but the players don’t
